Scott Howell

Scott Owen Howell, 58, passed away peacefully on the afternoon of October 6, 2021, at UAB Hospital, after a brief illness. Scott was a lifelong resident of Birmingham, Alabama. He was preceded in death by his father, James Howard Howell and his mother, Shirley Sue Howell.

Scott was a graduate of E. B. Erwin High School and attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He was an avid Alabama/SEC football and NY Yankees fan.

He will be remembered by his son, William Edward Howell of Birmingham, Alabama; sister, Rebecca Nelms (Melvin): niece, Sara Nelms Corn (Lathe) of Memphis, Tennessee; nephew, Bryan Carmichael of Tuscaloosa, Alabama: cousins, Carol Glover (Roy) of Smoke Rise, Alabama and Donna Wood of Crestview, Florida and many other family members and friends.

A memorial service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama on Sunday, October 17, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. with visitation at 1:00 p.m. Reception to immediately follow the service.
