Sara Gann

Sara Moorer Gann, age 88, of Alpharetta GA, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022. Sara was born on May 3, 1934 to Lonnie and Myrtle Moorer in Blount County AL. She grew up in Easley and attended Cleveland High School. Sara met the love of her life William “Bill” Gann at Massey Business College. Sara and Bill were married in December of 1954. They resided in Center Point, AL for most of their life where they raised their daughter, Tanya.

Sara was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Bill; her parents.

Sara is survived by her daughter, Tanya Gann Bagwell (Randall); her grandchildren, Lauren Steinmeyer (Kyle) and Ryan Bagwell; two great grandchildren, Hadley, and Summerlyn; two sisters, Clara Bell of East Lake, AL and Patsy Clements (Allen) of Douglasville, GA; her brother, Conrad Moorer (Delene) of Naples, FL. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

Family and friends of Sara will gather on Saturday, June 4th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home for visitation. The funeral for Sara will take place at Jefferson Memorial’s Chapel on Sunday, June 5th at 2:00 pm. A private burial will take place at a later date at Jefferson Memorial’s adjoining cemetery.
