Ruby Woods Lunsford was born January 23, 1931 and passed away on June 20, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born in Blount County, AL, but lived her adult life in Jefferson County, AL. She graduated from Cleveland High School class of 1948. She worked at Pasquales Pizza for 53 years and loved every day that she worked. She finally retired at age 87. She was a member of 2nd Ave Baptist Church of Oneonta, AL and attended faithfully until the Covid came. She loved NASCAR and the Atlanta Braves. She was able to have a long and wonderful life until the age of 90. At age 90 her health stopped her. But for those 90 years she lived life the way she wanted, very independent and was able to take care of her son, Harold. At age 90 she broke her ankle. We are grateful to the nurses at East Glen Nursing Home for the care they provided. Ruby’s father, William Earnest Woods passed away when she was three months old. She was also preceded in death by her mother, Liddie LeCroy, and the father who raised her, Dewey LeCroy; her son, Harold Garner; a granddaughter, Deanna Garner; two brothers and two sisters.
