Ronald Franklin

Ronald Harvey “Ronnie” Franklin, 81, went to be with our Lord on January 7, 2022.
Ronnie was born on October 8, 1940 to Verlin Harvey and Margaret Galloway Franklin. He grew up in Bradford and Pinson, AL and graduated from Tarrant High School in 1959.
Ronnie was a true family man and hard worker. He was very active in his community and coached his children, grandchildren, and children of the community in girls softball and girls and boys basketball.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents Verlin Harvey “Shorty” Franklin and Margaret E. Galloway Franklin. He is survived by his beloved aunt, June Hood of Hueytown, AL; his brother, Lawrence Franklin of Bessemer, AL; his wife of 47 years, Linda Franklin of Birmingham, AL; daughters, Cecelia (Jack) Helvin of Oneonta, AL; Regina (Rob) Everett of Moody, AL; grandchildren, Trent and Julia Helvin and Kendell and Carter Everett; lifelong dear friends, Butch and Cecelia Lee of Trussville, AL.
Pallbearers: Jack Helvin, Trent Helvin, Rob Everett, Carter Everett, Butch Lee, Abbott Dempsey.

Donations in Ronnie’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society or Animal Adoption Center of Blount County.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 11, 2022 beginning at 11:00 am followed by a 12 noon chapel service at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Burial to follow.
