Ralph Nelson, Sr

Ralph C. Nelson, Sr., (Pops) passed away peacefully on December 31, 2021, surrounded by his loving family.  Ralph was born in Gadsden, AL to the late Irven C. Nelson and Christine McCain Nelson.  He is preceded in death by his sister Barbara Richards, and brother-in-law Jerry Richards.  He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years Faye Vick Nelson,  his brother William T. Nelson (Sandra), his children Ralph C. Nelson, Jr. (Cindy); Michael Allen Nelson (Wendy); Beth Nelson Russom (Robert), his 9 grandchildren Alex Nelson (Crissa); James Ralph Nelson (Sarah); Hannah Nelson; LeeAnna Nelson; Hope Nelson; Ethan Nelson; Hayden Nelson; Anna Kate Russom; Charlie Russom, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.  Ralph was a retired business owner of Precision Automotive and a longtime member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.  He loved traveling with family and friends, fishing, and playing & coaching softball.  The family would like to express their appreciation to Oasis Hospice (Angela), Choice Home Care (Donna), friends and church family for all of their love and support through his illness.
