Mary Simonetti

MARY HARRIET SIMONETTI, passed away September 13, 2022. Harriet was born in Birmingham, AL on July 17, 1948 to the late Harry and Mary John Shaffield. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in education from St. Bernard College in Cullman, AL and received her Master's Degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She educated and encouraged many children at Fultondale High School, retiring after 30 years. She worked with the same teachers at Fultondale High School during her career and they all still remain good friends. She had a great love of travel with family and friends. Her favorite place to travel was Italy. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 29 years, Alan Joseph Simonetti; son, Cary Hardiman (Nina); Grandchildren, Jordan Cheak (Noah), Tristan Hardiman, Jonas Hardiman; Sister and best friend, Carol Alverson (Bill); Niece, Erin Glover; Great Nephew, Nathan Glover; Great Niece, Lauren Glover; mother-in-law, JoAnn Simonetti  and a host of other family and friends. Arrangements: Jefferson Memorial - Trussville, AL Saturday, September 17, 2022, Visitation at 1:00 pm, Chapel Service at 2:00, Graveside Service immediately following.
