Marlene Coker

November 17, 1951 — October 25, 2019

Marlene Greer West Coker was born on November 17, 1951, in Birmingham, AL to Rilla Mae Morrow and Marl Greer. She was an employee of Grandview Medical Center.

As a celebration of life and resurrection of Marlene, we remember that she had faith that she would one day be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, and on October 25, 2019, that faith was made complete.

Marlene was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Allen West, her parents and brother, Gary Greer.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Coker; her children, Molly Marlene West Chapman (Christopher) and John Allen West; her step children, Amanda Stott (John) and Andrew Coker, and her much loved grandson, Lucas Allen Sliwinski. She is also survived by siblings, James Edward (Mickey), Ronny (Susan), Donny (Diane), Larry (Janice), and Lisa Jarvis (Steve); sister-in-law, Carolyn Greer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family welcomes visitors at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, AL from 5:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019. A memorial service will be held at Noon, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 also at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Brother Roy Coker and Brother Josh Coker. Memorial donations, in Marlene’s name, can be made to the Autism Society of Alabama, American Heart Association or Jimmie Hale Mission.
