Lily Wood

Lily Isaac Wood went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 3, 2021. Miss Lily was born on December 9, 1927, in Calcutta, India and into a Sephardic Jewish family. In 1946 while working for the Indian Government she met and fell in love with a U.S. soldier. In 1947 she left her family and country for the love of her life, James Charles Wood. They were married for 52 years until God called him home. She is survived by one son, Jim Wood (Linda) of Chattanooga, TN, and two daughters, Bobbi Harper of Trussville, Alabama and Kelli Kearns (Steve) of Gallant, Alabama. She leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Taryon “Loureen” Godfrey with All Caring Home Health for her love and support during this time. The funeral for Miss Lily will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8th at Jefferson Memorial Chapel in Trussville. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service. Pastor James Dickson is officiating.
