Lettie Poe

Lettie Ann Poe, of Clearwater, FL passed away peacefully at home with family at her side on Saturday, May 7, 2022. She was 89 years old. She was born and raised in Argo, AL and as an adult lived in Birmingham, AL.  She retired from the City of Birmingham Department of Finance in 1994 when she moved to Clearwater, FL to be with her children, and help raise her grandchildren.  She served as a greeter at her church, Cathedral of the Cross (AL), for many years, and was a member of Skycrest Baptist in Clearwater, FL. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter.  She was very personable and caring to everyone she encountered.  Lettie was predeceased by her son, Darryl Poe. She is survived by her son, Dennis Poe; daughter, Sherri Voigts; son in-law, Robert Voigts, and Grandchildren, Erika Voigts and Andrew Voigts.  Services will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens, 1591 Gadsden Hwy., Birmingham, AL with the viewing Friday, May 13th from 6:00PM-8:00PM and the funeral service Saturday, May 14th at 2:00 PM. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service. A gathering will be held at a nearby restaurant immediately following the services. Pasto Larry Smith is officiating.
