Hellen Todd

Hellen Louise Butts Todd, age 95, of Birmingham, passed away Jan 6, 2020. She grew up in Sylacauga and at the time of her death was a member of Huffman Baptist Church. She enjoyed all types of needlework, went dancing 3 nights a week into her 80’s. Hellen and Edward traveled around the country with their 1907 Duer and other antique cars. Hellen was preceded in death by her husband, Edward C. Todd, parents, Sorrell and Eula Butts, and brother, Grover C. Butts. Visitation will be from 5pm until 7pm Wednesday at Jefferson Memorial Trussville. Graveside services will be Thursday at 2pm at Odena Cemetery in Odena Al. She is survived by her daughters, Tonnia Maddox, and Brenda Todd, sister, Betty Joan Lightsey (Wallace), sisters-in-law, Jane Todd and Gladys Rogers, grandchildren, Bettye Ann Mitchell (Mike), Tonnia Lynn Davis, William Roger Maddox Jr., 7 great grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons.
