Cathern Hinkle

Cathern Scott Hinkle, age 81, of Birmingham, AL passed away on September 24, 2019. She was a member of Clearview Baptist Church in Chalkville, AL. She enjoyed Auburn football, scrapbooking old family photos, reading Christian novels and gardening. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnny Hinkle. She is survived by her children, Phillip Hinkle and Cathy Parker (Chris); her grandchildren, Christopher Hinkle (Kelly), Connor Hinkle, Cody Shields (Katie) and Callie Shields; her great grandchildren, Lily Hinkle, Logan Hinkle, Aleah Handy, Jordan Handy and Taylor Handy. The family requests that in lieu of flowers please send donations to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children in honor of Cathern’s memory. A graveside service will be held for Cathern at 10:30 a.m. at Jefferson Memorial Garden East in Trussville on Friday, September 27th.
