Billy J. Willoughby

Billy J. Willoughby, age 89, was born on August 26, 1931, and passed away on July 12, 2021. He had served in the Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Cold Springs Baptist Church and was retired from Willoughby Contracting Company. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved fishing and deep sea fishing was his favorite. He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Ollie L. Willoughby and Myrtle H. Willoughby; his loving wife of 66 years, Mildred E. Willoughby; and five siblings. Billy is survived by his son, Byron J. Willoughby (Sherry); grandchildren, Brent J. Willoughby (Lauren), Bethany W. Guinn (Wes), Brian J. Willoughby (Olivia),; great-grandchildren, Claire Ebrahimi, Lilly Guinn, Macy Willoughby, Knox Willoughby, and Luke Guinn; many nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 15 at 10am in the Chapel at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
