Annette Mcnabb

January 22, 1949 — July 20, 2021

Annette McNabb, age 72 of Birmingham, AL passed away on July 20, 2021. Annette was a registered nurse for 40 years. She was a Samford University graduate. She loved her job, which was primarily in neurosurgery of which she was a coordinator for 33 years. In 1991 Annette joined the Army Reserve as a nurse with rank of First Lieutenant. She remained in the Army for eleven years, at that time resigning with an Honorable discharge as Captain. She is preceded in death by her father, John W. Rider, mother, Viola Rider, sister, Jane Beasley, daughter, Mitzi Keith and son, David B. Keith. She is survived by her daughter, Kayla Gurley (Adam); brother, Joe Rider (Misty); grandchildren, Libby Grace Keith and Leah Claire Keith; sister, Bobbie Caldwell; a number of nieces and nephews. In closing I thank God for the blessings in my life, for carrying me when I couldn’t walk. I couldn’t have accomplished going through all that I did without him. Losing my two children is still an unbearable grief. The Lord gives and the Lord takes away. He gave me children to raise, they have been my love, my joy and will always be! We will see each other again! God’s promise. Mom-Nonnie Visitation will be on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 11 to 12 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will begin at 12 PM in the chapel and the burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
