Young Mitchell

Charley Mitchell, age 74 of Leeds, AL passed away at home on March 9, 2014. He was a member of Packer Memorial Baptist Church for over 40 years, where he served as a music minister and a deacon. Later he was a member of Deerfoot Baptist and a current member of Valley View Baptist. He was a retired sheet metal worker and an honored member of the Sheet Metal Worker Union Local #48. He was a past member of the Warblers and The Singing Gentlemen Barbershop Chorus. He is survived by his wife, Gay Mitchell; daughters, Donna Vines (Jimmy) and Stephanie Smith (Devin); grandchildren, Mitchel Vines, Whttney Vines, Clay Vines (Amber), Logan Smith, Abigayl Smith, Hannah Smith, and Landon Smith; mother-in-law, Lucille Hicks; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 15, 2014 from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Services will begin at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. James Langston will be officiating over the services. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
