Winifred Johnson

Winifred Vail Johnson, age 90 of McCalla, AL passed away on April 17, 2011. She was a member of Navarre Presbyterian Church in Florida where she was involved with the Woman's Association. She graduated high school in 1940 from Cornwall High School in New York. She liked to knit, work in her garden, cook, and bake. She is preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Johnson, sister, Sally Antoinette, and brother, Robert Brooks. She is survived by her daughters, Mary Johnson and Edith Johnson; son, Winsfred E. Johnson; sister, Rosalie Showler; grandchildren, Kathleen Yelland, Christina Knox, and Winsfred Johnson, Jr.; great grandchildren, Amanda Knox, Steven Knox, Ashlie Johnson, Winsfred Johnson, III, and Leeland Johnson. Memorial services will be on Thursday, April 21, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
