William “Bill” Jackson Warren, age 78, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2026. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow in the chapel, with graveside services at the mausoleum.
Bill was born in Birmingham, Alabama, and graduated from West End High School. After graduation, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he proudly served his country in the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, Bill reunited with his family and opened Mr. Goodguy Restaurant in Anniston, Alabama. He later pursued several other business ventures before joining Supervalu Distribution Center, where he worked as a warehouse supervisor. After retiring from Supervalu, Bill founded Warren Construction with his son, Frank.
Bill was an active member of Eden Westside Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as the teacher of the Unity Life Discovery Class.
He loved woodworking and enjoyed creating hope chests, entertainment centers, and many other handcrafted pieces. Bill cherished time spent with his three grandchildren, especially traveling with them. He also enjoyed reading, watching television, and studying his Bible daily.
Bill is survived by his wife of four years, Edna Kay Warren; his children, Frank Warren (Roseann) and Barbara Lee; and his three grandchildren, Josh Warren (Randi), Kira Warren, and Lexi Bishop. He is also survived by his brothers, Jimmy Warren and Ronald Warren.
He was preceded in death by his beloved first wife of 53 years, Judith Annette Warren (2020); his parents, Oliver and Ollie Warren; his brothers, Wayne Warren and Joe Warren; and his sisters, Bobbie Johnson and Regina Wingard.
Pallbearers will be Severano Alvarez, Lee Higgins, Adam Purdy, Matt Stamps, Terry Layton, Darrell Cagle, Ethan Cagle, and Ivan Alvarez. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Warren, Bruce Lott, Rigo Rivas, David Alvarez, Scott Kearley, Casey Misso, Ian Crow, Jackson Sweatt, Johnny Smith, Roger Wingard, and the entire Warren Construction/SA Construction family.
