William Robert (Buddy) Selman

Buddy Selman, age 79, born August 4, 1946 in Birmingham , Alabama passed away on September 14, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. We were blessed to have him home with us the last months.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy . He attended Jefferson State Community College and The University of Alabama in Birmingham.

He was a barber for over 53 years at Selman and Company in Crestline Village- Mountain Brook, Alabama.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Robin Dalzell Selman, his daughter, Blair Selman, several nephews, nieces, and cousins, including special cousin Kenneth Crowder and friend Kay Deering.

The family would like to thank doctors Briggs and Collins, and the entire staff of Safe Harbor at the Birmingham Veterans Hospital for their compassionate and loving care.

The family will receive friends 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, October 2 at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, Alabama and 1:30 to 2 pm on Friday October 3rd. Services will in the chapel at 2 on the 3rd with military honors following at the gravesite.
