Obituary

Funeral Services for Mr. William “Bill” Pugh, age 82 of Trussville, will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Warren officiating. Burial will follow at the Alabama National Cemetery at 11:45 A.M. in Montevallo with Military Funeral Honors.

Bill passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at McGuffey Health & Rehab in Gadsden. Born in Birmingham, he lived in Gulfport, Mississippi for the last 28 years before returning back to Alabama. In 1966, Bill enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served in Vietnam, until he was honorably discharged in 1972. Bill was a family man that loved spending time with his family and his friends. He enjoyed traveling, good food was his best friend and always finding some kind of shenanigans to get into with all his cousins and his sidekicks, Johnny, Ronny and Ralph. Bill was an avid Alabama fan and a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend that will be dearly missed.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Pack (Ray), his grandchildren, Milinda and Peyton Pack, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Doris Pugh, his brother, Richard Pugh and his sisters, Allyne Johnson and Freda Pugh.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 9:30 A.M. until service time at 10:00 A.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to all of the wonderful caregivers at McGuffey Health Care and Enhabit Hospice, for all of their love and care for Bill.
