William Cale

William "Bill" Russell Cale, 82, passed away at his home in Birmingham, Al on May 2, 2014. He was a native of Docena, AL. Bill's life was notable for his military service to his county during the Korean War and his success in minor league baseball. He is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alison Burke and survived by his wife, Mary Roberta Cale; 3 children, Angela Townsend, Jan Atkinson and Chris Cale; 3 grandchildren, Michael Townsend, Nathan Cale, and Aaron Cale; 1 brother Joe Cale; 1 sister Wanda Stewart; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville, AL on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 12:00 noon followed by a graveside service at 1:00.
