Wilburn "Dyrel" Barnett

Wilburn Dyrel Barnett, age 96 of Birmingham, Al, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2024.  He was born to Wilburn Bunyon and Willie Mae Garner Barnett on December 29, 1927.  He is predeceased by his loving wife of 73 years Mildred Alene Edge Barnett; two sons, Dyrel Dwayne Barnett, and Larry Don Barnett; sister, Alyne Barnett Williams; brother, Gilbert Garner Barnett.  He leaves behind his daughter-in-law, Kay Stephens Barnett; 4 grandchildren, Jennifer Barnett Collins (Cade), Alison Barnett Murphy (Jason), Nicole Barnett Malone, Jeremy Barnett (Courtney); 8 great-grandchildren, Taylor Murphy, Madison Murphy, Mac Kenzie Collins, Walker Collins, Braydon Malone, Haven Malone, Levi Barnett, Lexi Barnett.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 19, 2024, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with a service to follow in the chapel of Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. Burial will conclude in the adjoining cemetery.
