Whitney Sandefer

Whitney Brooke Sandefer, age 25, passed away on July 29, 2025. Born on June 21, 2000, in Mountain Brook, Alabama, she was the beloved daughter of David Sandefer and Julie Sandefer.

Whitney had a tender, vibrant spirit and a heart full of compassion. She loved animals deeply and dreamed of a life filled with meaning, love, and joy. She also loved to sing and had the voice of an angel - her voice brought light into the lives of those who heard it and will echo in our hearts forever. Her laughter was unforgettable, and her presence left an imprint on all who knew her. Though her journey was not without struggle, her life was filled with beauty and love.

She is survived by her parents, David Sandefer and Julie Sandefer, her loving sister, Kacy Laine Sandefer, and her devoted brother, David James Sandefer. She also leaves behind extended family and dear friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.

Though her time on earth was far too short, we rest in the comfort of knowing Whitney is now in the arms of a loving and merciful God - whole, healed, and finally at peace.

A private service will be held to honor her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Greater Birmingham Humane Society in Whitney’s memory, in honor of her love for all living creatures.
