Wanda Jean (Hathcote) Campbell, age 96, went to be with the Lord on June 23, 2026. She was born in Hanceville, AL, on February 13, 1930, to Lee and Ida (Cone) Hathcote. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Cleo Campbell, and daughter, Susan Diane Campbell, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her sons Mickey (Peggy) Campbell and Tommy (Cindy) Campbell; Grandchildren – Mandy (Phillip) Cate, Allyson Campbell, Valerie (Jeremy) Benson, Rebecca (Jason) O’Dell, Lesley (Jeremy) Avant; Great-Grandchildren – Kara Benson, Brayden Benson, Bailey O’Dell, Logan O’Dell, Brock Avant, Elizabeth Cate, Zoe Cate and Hannah Cate. Jean, or Grandmother as she was affectionately known, worked as a hairdresser in her younger years, as a sales associate for Yeilding’s department store and a pharmacy associate at Big B Drugs, but for the most part was a housewife and stay at home mother. She enjoyed growing flowers and vegetables, making ceramics, and loving on her grandchildren. Jean was a member of Lake Highland Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Center Point.

The family will be receiving visitors at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville on July 1, 2026, from 11:00 Am – 12:00 Pm. Graveside service will be held immediately following the visitation at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
