WOOD, VIRGIL A Virgil A. Wood, age 84, of Birmingham, AL passed away on September 13, 2010. He was preceded in death by parents, Armenda Self Wood, Millard Filmore Wood; two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Ester Lee Wood; daughters, Linda Wood, Sandra Wood, Cindy Wood; sons, Gary Wood (Ernie) Gregory Wood (Gladys), Dennis Wood (Susan), Michael Wood (Laurie); three sisters and one brother; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews, his two step-daughters and their families. A memorial service will be held on September 17, 2010 at 12:00 PM with visitation one hour prior to service time at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Frank Wood and Gregory Wood officiating.
