Theresa Burton

Theresa Burton, age 52 of Birmingham, AL, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014. She was a member of Huffman Baptist Church. Mrs. Burton has been the director of the Springville Senior Citizens Center for the past six years and was a former employee at UAB as an epidemiologist for 17 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Linter Hollingsworth. Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Joey Burton; daughter, Erica Burton Kerner (Joseph); son, Cody Allen Burton; granddaughter, Amber Kerner; mother, Betty Hollingsworth; brother, Randy Hollingsworth (Kim); and numerous nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Thursday, March 20 from 1-2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. The service will begin at 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Larry Smith officiating followed by the burial at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
