Our beloved mother, nanny, sister, and friend, Susan Washburn Moore, went to her heavenly home on October 7, 2026.

Susan was someone who found happiness in the simple things in life. She loved sitting on the front porch, singing along to her favorite songs, and working on word search puzzles. She had a special way of making ordinary moments into memories that will last a lifetime. Her homemade peanut butter fudge was something to look forward to, and if you knew Susan, you probably knew there was always a Dr. Pepper close by.

It’s often the little things that make someone unforgettable, and it’s those little things about Susan that we will hold closest to our hearts. The familiar songs, the time spent together, the things that made us smile, and the memories we may not have realized were so special until now.

Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we are grateful for the time we had with her and the love she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She is survived by her children Kris Franklin (Kenney), Missy Quinn (Wayne), Eddie Lancaster (Michelle); grandchildren Emily, Zac, Nick, Abbie, Molly, Luci, Andi, and Landon.

She is preceded in death by her husband Mike Moore; and grandson Gray Lancaster.
