Sue Neal

Sue Sidney Hargett Neal, aged 80 passed away after a struggle with cancer on September 5, 2018. Sue was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on October 18, 1937, the daughter of Mabel Greer Hargett and Otis King Hargett and was raised in Memphis, Tennessee.

Sue was married to Louis Edward Neal for 22 years. Sue and Louis lived in Clay, Alabama and owned and operated “The Glassman,” a commercial plate glass company in Birmingham, Alabama before his death in 1976.

She is survived by her 4 children, Danny Bruce Neal, Richard Len Neal, Donna Neal Kennedy, and Linda Neal Dean. She is also survived by her 3 brothers, Charlie Hargett, Barry Hargett and David Hargett, her sister-in-law who was like a sister to her, Shirley Sinquefield.

She is also survived by her 6 wonderful grandchildren: Ben, Jake, Andi, Jared, Josh, and Rachel, and 6 adorable great-grandchildren: Kinzlee, Max, Charlie, Sam, Julianne, and Jayla.

There will be a private graveside service just for immediate family members only at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery in Birmingham, Alabama.
