Steven A. Mahaffey

Steven Allen Mahaffey 73 of Mt. Olive formally of Tarrant passed away June 18, 2026 surround by his family. He was born October 10, 1952.

 Survived by his loving wife of 49 years Cindy Mahaffey. Children: Marlena (Eric) Tipton, Brittany (Justin) Williams, Drew Mahaffey. One grandson Cameron Tipton. 

He was proceeded in death by son Johnathan Mahaffey, parents Matt & Gertrude Mahaffey. He worked for Frito-Lay as a chip salesman for over 30 years. He severed on Tarrant City Council from 2000-2004. He was a founding Member of the Tarrant Education Foundation. He was a deacon for over 50 years. 

He attended East Gardendale Baptist Church. Brother Mark Barber will be officiating grave side service Tuesday June 24,2026 at 10:30am. 

A celebration of life will be held Saturday June 27, 2026 at East Gardendale Baptist Church at 3:00pm. The family would like to thank Pro- Health Care Hospice service.
