Steven Saul Jackson a.k.a. Rocky, Age 65, of Birmingham, Alabama, passed away on February 10, 2024, after a short and unexpected illness. Steven was born on January 1, 1959, to Jimmie S. and Sarah L. Jackson, and pictured in The Birmingham Newspaper as the New Year's Baby for the area.
Preceded in death by (Dad) Jimmie S. Jackson, (Mom) Sarah L. Jackson, and (Brother) Dennis D. Jackson. Survived by (Sister) Beverly K. Jackson, of Cypress, Texas, (Nephew) Terry C. Jackson (Sandy), an aunt, along with cousins.
He attended John Herbert Phillips High School, Class of 1978. He was a smart, funny witty, loving, and caring, brother who lived his life his way every day. I admired his courage because he was never afraid.
He was a big sports fan whether it was college or professional, football (especially Alabama), baseball, basketball, or wrestling.
His favorite things were current world events, crossword puzzles, any type of trivia, music genres, singing karaoke, and hanging out in his favorite places.
We would like to extend our appreciation to his neighbors and friends, in the Crestwood Community. The owners, employees, and patrons of the Red Bike Coffee Shop, Crestwood Pharmacy, True Brewing Company, Filling Station, and Crestwood Tavern, for being an important part of his life and expressing how they will miss him.
I love you Brother. Love Sister.
A Celebration of Life details are pending.
