Stephen Larry Tolleson

STEPHEN LARRY TOLLESON, age 80 of Palmerdale, Alabama passed from this world in his home on February 25, 2026.

Steve was born December 29, 1945 to Myrtle and Hubert Tolleson. He was raised on the family dairy farm in Pinson, Alabama. After attending school in Pinson and Trussville he jointed the Air Force and served 5 years. He married Melanie Moore December 30, 1971 and they had one daughter Rachael in 1973.

Steve worked for several companies in Birmingham, Alabama as a corporate pilot then started at Motion Industries in Birmingham, Alabama as the Chief Pilot for almost 30 years. After retiring he enjoyed bird hunting, trading guns and fishing.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Melanie Moore Tolleson, one daughter Rachael Tolleson Hand (Michael) one grandaughter Alexis Austin Hurston (Kyle) two great grandchildren Aubrey Hurston age 13 and Mason Hurston age 6, sister Diane Cates of Pinson and a brother Robert Tolleson of Pinson, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Myrtle and Hubert Tolleson and a brother Wayne Tolleson of Pinson.
