Shirley Richard

Shirley G. Richard, age 77 went to be with her Heavenly Father on April 1, 2013. Shirley got great joy serving her Lord, playing the piano, and singing in gospel quartet. She also touched many people lives thru her work as a beautician. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Madge and Owen Butler, and her brother James "Buddy" Butler. She is survived by her son, David Whitehead (Molly) of McCalla; daughters, Kay Pond of Hoover, AL, Terri Vannatter (Larry) of Clay, AL, and Kathryn Oliver (Harold) of Trussville, AL; grandchildren, Jessica Morris and Aryn Pond; great grandchildren, Madison Morris and Kaleb Morris. Services will be on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 12:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Pastor Mark Lawley will be officiating over the services. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Golden Living of Trussville and the Comfort Care Hospice.
