Shirley Mitchell

On April 16, 2026 Shirley (Gray) Mitchell of Trussville, AL went home to be with her heavenly father, her husband James Lamar Mitchell, and to reunite with her mother, father, and sister who passed before her.

She is survived by her three daughters, Kim Dismukes(Jimmy), Pamela Spooner Wade (Johnny), Lisa Mitchell, her four grand-children Matson Spooner, Ryan Dismukes, Kyndall Robbins (Randy), Ashley Culver (Connor), and great-grandchild Jack Spooner Robbins.

Shirley was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and cherished friend to many. She was a member of Pinson Methodist Church and The Lazy Dazy Garden Club for many, many years. Shirley's memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

Shirley Mitchell's life will be honored and celebrated by friends and family on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 through a visitation from 1:00pm -2:00pm followed by a ceremony at 2:00pm in The Chapel at Jefferson Memorial, Trussville, AL. There will be no graveside ceremony.
