Shirley Jaynet Gifford, age 78, passed away on February 6, 2026. She retired from Jefferson County after many years of service. Mrs. Gifford was preceded in death by her daughter Dana J. Adkins; parents, Harold and Ruth Hicks Eady; three brothers, Arnold Eady, Luther Eady, Eldridge Eady.
Shirley is survived by her husband Mickey Gifford; two daughters, Sandra Adkins and Jana Gifford; three granddaughters, Jaynet Oliver, Jessica Waddell, Amelia Gros and seven great-grandchildren.
