Funeral Services for Mrs. Sharon Dear Bernard, age 75 of Trussville, will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Rev. James Long officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining gardens.

Sharon Dear Bernard of Trussville, AL passed away Tuesday, April 2, 202 at the age of 75. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and it was her family that brought her the greatest joy!

Sharon spent the majority of her life as a devoted stay at home mom who was always there for her children. When her children were older, she worked at Parisian Eastwood Mall as the counter manager for Erno Lazlo cosmetics. Later in life, she owned The Needlepoint Place in Cahaba Heights, Alabama for several years before selling the business to help care and advocate for her special needs grandson.

Sharon is survived by her children Michael Bernard, Jennifer Bender (Forrest), her grandchildren Christian (Kelsey) Bender, Ethan Bender, Noah Bender, and great grandson Ezra Bender. Sharon was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 52 years, Kenny, parents Jesse and Myrtle Dear, and brother Ronnie Dear.

If preferred, in lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Dementia Society of America.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2025 from 1:00 P.M. until service time at 2:00 P.M. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home.
