Seth Michael
Allison
Jun 30, 2006 — Sep 13, 2026
Seth Michael Allison, age 20, of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, passed away on September 13th, 2026. Seth was born on June 30, 2006, to Brian Allison and Shari Allison and is survived by his siblings, Kayla, Mark, and Keira.
Seth sprung into this world with the force of the beloved cartoon Tasmanian Devil, earning him a Taz Christmas ornament as a child to symbolize all of the whirling laughter and liveliness he brought to every person he encountered. As he grew older, Seth demonstrated the rare ability to perform not only on the athletic field as a proud member of the East Central Patriot football and baseball teams, but also on the stage, with roles in numerous plays, including his unforgettable turn as the titular character of the Somewhat True Tales of Robin Hood. One of his most fondly remembered stage exploits however, was when he served as a backstage tech who saved the show by holding up the deflated rear end of an inflatable centaur costume in a brilliant moment of shared laughter for the entire theater. Seth had once again demonstrated that he was the ultimate (and literal) support for his friends, and had their backs (and even their backsides) when needed. Seth loved shared laughter just as passionately as he loved those legendary “second suppers” and late night Taco Bell runs his friends and family remember so fondly. Whether card games, board games, video games, or ballgames, Seth led the fun with humor and the uncanny ability to make anyone feel welcome, special, and comfortable. On fall Saturdays, Seth could be found cheering for his beloved Tennessee Volunteers and on Sundays his Cincinnati Bengals.
Seth accepted Christ into his heart as a child at Northpark Baptist Church in Trussville, Alabama, and continued to grow and worship within the Feral Church home church community until moving to Hattiesburg, Mississippi as a student attending the University of Southern Mississippi. At Southern Miss, Seth joined the Theta Gamma Chapter of Sigma Nu and served as recruitment chair for two years. He also served on the executive board of Golden Eagle Welcome Week (GEWW), continuing to demonstrate his lifelong talent for embracing and including others.
The family wishes to thank all of the people who have helped them and extended kindness and encouragement to them as we remember Seth. The strand of his life was not as long as we hoped it would be, but it was woven into the lives of those he touched with such rare and brilliant color that his impact on others far outweighs his length of years. Much like an impossible blue rose, Seth embodied a spirit that was truly one of a kind. He will be missed by all who knew him, and his family cherishes the memories he provided to them with the deepest love and affection.
A service celebrating Seth’s life will be held on Saturday, September 19th, at noon at Northpark Baptist Church (5700 Deerfoot Pkwy, Trussville, AL 35173), preceded by visitation with friends and family at 10 a.m. Pallbearers will be Aidan Smith, Braden Abston, Ayden Daigle, Garrett Grantham, Colin Smith, Riley Gordon, Ben Turner, and Eli Joyner. A graveside service will take place at Jefferson Memorial in Trussville (1591 Gadsden Hwy Birmingham, AL 35235) following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Divine Fitness Ministries.
