Sara Estes, 89, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed from this life on May 25, 2026. She is now free from the bondage of Alzheimer's disease. If anyone could bring beauty and grace into such a difficult journey, it was Sara. Even through her illness, she continued to laugh, make faces with those she loved, and-though the words were not always clear-constantly sing praises to God. No visit with her ever ended without the words, "I love you."
Sara was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Estes. She is lovingly survived by her children, Joy (Chris) Ellis, Johnny Estes, and Jane Estes; her grandchildren, Stacy (Ben) Wofford, Emily (Dion) Clark, and Charlie (Matthew) Musgrave; and her six precious great-grandchildren. Even during her illness, her face would light up each time she saw the sweet faces of her great-grandchildren. They held a special place in her heart.
Sara lived her life as a servant to others but first and foremost to God. She worked hard, loved deeply, and continually sought ways to bring joy to those around her. Her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will never be forgotten.
