Rosemarie Wiederkehr Zubler passed away on December 9th, 2025 just one day short of her 97th birthday. She was born on December 10, 1928 in Sarasota, Florida to Hans and Hulda Wiederkehr. She graduated from Manatee County High School in 1949. Rosemarie held many different positions in administration and bookkeeping throughout the years. Her work for a ministry grew her passion for missions and it also brought about her move to Alabama. For many years she worked and volunteered showing the love of God by caring for those in need at home and abroad. As a loving mother, she raised five children and then became a doting grandmother. She loved spending time tending to her home and caring for her yard and pets. She also enjoyed many hobbies such as sewing and cooking. From childhood her parents instilled a love for her Swiss heritage and she enjoyed visiting family in Switzerland. She was active for many years in the senior ministry through her Sunday school class at First Baptist Church Trussville.
Rosemarie is survived by her son Peter Zubler; daughters Elvera Thomason, Rose Zubler-Gates (Jeff) and Aria Monski (Scott); her grandchildren Michael Savage (Tess), Sara Thomason, Madison Heinze, Will Monski (Kristin), Josh Monski (Brooke), Abbie Kate Monski and Allie Claire Monski; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, her beloved daughter Heidi Heinze, and sons-in-law Doug Heinze and Mike Thomason.
A graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, Alabama on December 20, 2025 at 11a.m.
