Rose Stidham

Rose Ann Sonnier Stidham of Brimingham, Alabama passed away on Friday, December 19th, 2025.

Rose Ann was born in Dermott, Arkansas on June 23, 1943 to Mr. and Mrs. John Seymour (sam) Sonnier, who have preceded her in death.

Rose Ann graduated from high school in McGehee, Arkansas and attended college at the University of Arkansas at Monticello, Arkansas and the University of Memphis in Memphis, Tennessee.

She began her telephone company career in McGhee in 1963 working as a long distance operator, transferring to Memphis in 1967 where she had a variety of jobs. In 1977 she was transferred to Birmingham, Alabama working at Southern Bell which changed to South Central Bell and ultimately changed to Bell South Services where she retired in 1999. She contracted back to Bell South through Accenture from 1999 until 2005 where she retired again.

Rose Ann loved God, her family, Alabama football, and bowling.

Rose Ann is survived by her husband, Thomas E Stidham; her daughter Lisa Stewart (Wes), grandson Aaron Breasseale, two great granddaughters, Olivia and Abigail Breasseale, grandson Cody Breasseale (Laina), great grandson Bo McDonald Breasseale (Bo Mac), great granddaughter Evelyn Louise Breasseale (Evy), and grandson Austin Stewart; son Tommy Stidham, grandsons Nicholas and Jeremy Stidham and a host of loving family and many friends.

Rose Ann was a member of Saint Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church. Visitation will be held at Saint Mark’s on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at 9:00am, and funeral service will follow. Graveside service will be held at Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville, Alabama following the funeral.
