Robert Ray

Robert Matthew Ray "Bob", affectionately known as, Daddy Bob and Paw Paw, of Springville, AL was called home to be with our Lord on June 15, 2023, at the age of 86. He was born October 3, 1936 to his loving parents, M.C. Ray and Mabel Ray. Bob was a loving and dedicated husband to his loving wife of 40 years, Barbara Benson Ray "Mimi". He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Deb) Ray, Jr and Ricky Ray; his daughters, Nancy (Charles) Jerrolds, Melanie (Ray) Harrison, and Cindy (Jon) Horton. He was also a proud grandfather to his 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was an active member of Central Baptist Church. He was an avid AL Football fan. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was loved and cherished by all who were blessed to know him. He loved the Lord with all his heart. He will always remain in our hearts and will be greatly missed. A funeral for Bob will be held on Wednesday, June 21st at 2:00 p.m. at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville with visitation held one hour prior to the service. The burial will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial's adjoining cemetery. Pastor Shad Smith will be presiding over the service. Pallbearers will be Jonah Smith, Ray Harrison, Billy Yackee, Richard Phillips, Eric Bonham and Wes Rumbley.
