Robert (Bob) W. Lowery

Bob was preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Lynoitt Lowery and daughter CarolAnn Lowery.

He graduated from Hueytown High School in 1959. Mr. Lowery attended Alabama College where he acquired the name "Fatz" due to his size. He also attended the University of Alabama. Mr. Lowery worked at GMAC from April 1964 until June 1996!! Bob played in different bands through his twenties and thirties with the last one named Spring Fever.

He loved all animals, especially dogs and could tell you each dog he ever had and each personality they had. He still talked about them all the time. He hated cats except for his baby name Bourbon and the other two his daughter brought home named Samantha and Savannah. He even changed his email to reflect the two. Samantha-Savannah@.

Survived by his wife of 49 years and one week Gail, daughter Stephanie Newton (Chris), honorary grandson Tommy Newton and son Rob Lowery.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Hospital or the Greater Birmingham Humane Society.
