Rita Wolford
April 3, 1922 — July 25, 2023
Rita O. Wolford, 101, born April 3, 1922, in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and passed peacefully from this world on July 25, 2023, surrounded by family.
Rita served overseas during WWII as a mechanical draftsman. After retiring from the United States Postal Service she traveled throughout Europe. She volunteered at Our Lady of Lourdes and Medical Center East for many years.
Mrs. Wolford was a loving mother to 8 children, 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren! Rita was preceded in death by Charles W. Wolford and her daughter Patricia Anne Smith. She is survived by 4 loving daughters and 3 loving sons; Rita (Chris) Crawford; Deborah Walton, Kathy Wolford, Mary (Dan) Fricke, Charles (Sandy) Wolford, Michael (Bernadette) Wolford, and David (Patti) Wolford.
