At 71, Patty Sue Ford left this world with the same grace, humor, and quiet strength that defined her life. A devoted mother to five children, she poured her heart into raising a family that was always her greatest pride. She built a home filled with laughter, good food, and the kind of steady love that made everyone who entered feel welcome. Known for her devout faith, kindness, and her ability to make people feel seen, she touched countless lives simply by being herself. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, resilience, and family bonds that will continue to grow through the generations she nurtured. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit lives on in the stories shared, the traditions kept, and the love she planted in every heart she held close.

Surrounded by love, Patty Sue Ford passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026, in Birmingham, Alabama. She was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on September 19, 1954, to Bill and Lorene Pearson. She graduated as a salutatorian from East Limestone High School in Athens, Alabama in 1972. She met the love of her life, Morris Ford Jr, while attending Florida College. They were married for 51 years, living their final 30 years together in Birmingham. While living in Birmingham, she was a member of Cahaba Heights Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Morris Ford Jr; Daughters Cynthia Dango, Kimberly Peeples, Katie (Andrew) Buie, Sarah Ford; Son Morris (Casey) Ford III. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; Joseph (28), Alex (25), Taylor (18), Harrison (17), AJ (16), Mac (15), Morgan (14), Kasen (14), Kodie Jo (11), Charlee (10), Rylann (9), Teddy (8), Louisa (4), Harriet (2); Brother Jack Pearson; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Bill Pearson (09/18) and Lorene Pearson (07/2007). Visitation, Funeral, and Graveside will be Friday January 23, 2026.

Her greatest legacy lives on in the 19 children and grandchildren whose lives she shaped with her unwavering love, quiet wisdom, and boundless generosity.
