Patsy Payton

Patsy Ann Payton, age 80, of Chilton County, AL passed January 8, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Archie and Lucile Baker on May 12, 1943.  Patsy could often be found gardening or crafting, and she was known for her ability to tell a funny story. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. 

    Patsy was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jerry Payton; parents, Archie and Lucile Baker; brothers, Jimmy Baker, Kenneth Baker, and Sherrill Baker; daughter, Reneé Payton; and son, Danny Morgan. She is survived by siblings; Kay Nichols (Gary), Carl Baker, Melba White (Dave), and Mike Baker (Mechelle), her children; Jerry “Skeet” Payton, Jr (Susan), Randy Morgan, Johnny Payton (Cindy), Terresa Lambert (Bill), Ronnie Morgan (Deanna), and Tammy Darden (Thomas Wynn). Grandchildren; Christopher Payton (Grace); Jeremy Payton, Misty Cowan (Allen), Joey Payton (Ariel), Natalie Hailey (James), GJ Lambert (Candice), Jessica Hiatt, Angela Sorenson, Nicholas Vines (Elizabeth), Courtney Roe (Josh), Brittany Martin (Wayne), Lauren Darden, and Sophie Darden. She also leaves behind Karson Darden, Lyla Savell, Beau Martin, Piper Hailey, twenty-two additional great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.  

A visitation for friends and family will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 11 AM to 12 PM with a private service for family to follow.
