Patricia "Pat" Hoglund Owens, 72 went to live with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, August 6, 2008. She was preceded in death by her husband, H. Gerald "Jerry" Owens, and her sister, Margaret "Mickey" Watts. Survived by her brother, C. Robert "Bobby" Hoglund; daughters: Christy Owens Little, Vicky Owens Foote, Amy Owens; sons-in-law: Randy A. Little, Daniel "Danny" Foote; grandchildren: Patrick H. Fonte, Derek L. Cardwell, Cory R. Cardwell, Clarence James "CJ" Fonte, Spencer A. Fonte, Caitlin N. Foote, Shelley Andrews, Brandie Gibson, Kennon B. Little, Kevin M. Little, Ashley Heath; great granddaughter, Sicily Skylar Fonte; brother-in-law: William R. "Billy" Watts; sister-in-law: Lyudmila Sukhar Hoglund; nieces: Rebecca Ann Watts, Gaye Hoglund Hadley, Viktoriya "Vika" Shcherbakova; nephews: Christopher Eric Watts, Paul Anthony Fearn (Paul Eric Hoglund). Pat was a Commissioned Lay Pastor (CLP) with the Presbytery of Sheppards & Lapsley (PCUSA), Birmingham, AL. She was interim pastor at Fairfield Highlands Presbyterian Church, Midfield, AL. She previously served as Associate Pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church, Trussville, AL. She served as Elder of Center Point Presbyterian Church, Center Point, AL prior to becoming a CLP. Pat was previously active with the Alabama Society of Public Accountants along-side her husband, Jerry Owens. She worked as lab technician at Baptist Medical Center Montclair, and Medical Diagnostic Clinic. Chapel Funeral Services will be held Friday August 8, 08 at 2:00p.m. with Rev. Chris Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home Thursday August 7, 08 from 5-7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Eye Foundation for Macular Degeneration Research, American Diabetes Foundation, Fairfield Highlands Presbyterian Church, Grace Presbyterian Church, or Presbytery of Sheppards & Lapsley CLP program. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
