Patricia Ellen Brantley

Patricia E. Brantley (“Patsy”), age 85, of Hoover, Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, and went home to be with Our Lord.

Patsy grew up in Chalkville and was a cheerleader during her days at Hewitt Trussville High School before receiving a vocal scholarship to Birmingham Southern. She dedicated more than 35 years of service to SouthTrust Bank in Hoover. She was also a faithful member of Hunter Street Baptist Church for over 25 years and loved to sing in the choir. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoke S. Brantley, Jr.; her parents, Robert “Cage” Jennings and Laura Jennings; her brother, Jim “J.J.” Jennings; and her brother-in-law, Harold Kizzire.

Patsy is survived by her two sons, Jeff (Ashley) Brantley and Brian (Meg) Brantley; her three grandsons, Murphy (Brighton) Brantley, Blake (Maria) Brantley, and Mason Brantley; her four granddaughters, Emily (Justin) Horton, Liz (John) Cantrell, Claire (Caleb) Puckett, and Elizabeth Castle; and her ten great-grandchildren, Grayson Cantrell, Justin Horton, Noah Horton, Elise Cantrell, Leo Horton, Sophia Brantley, Helen Cantrell, Amelia Brantley, Claire Brantley, and Benjamin Cantrell. She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie (Dorinda) Jennings, and her sister, Robbie Kizzire.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home and Gardens in Trussville from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Graveside services will immediately follow.

Patsy will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her.
