Osphal Shoemake

O.R. "Shoe" Shoemake, 81 of Birmingham passed away on August 7, 2011. Mr. Shoemake was a deacon at the 85th Street/Deerfoot Baptist Church. He retired after 32 years of service with the Post Office, followed by 20 years with the North East Branch YMCA. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Betty; their children, Kay Fason and Rick Shoemake (Becky); one brother, John Raines; Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9 beginning at 1:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home with Chapel services at 3:00 PM with Bro. Wayne Scott and Bro. Roger Willmore officiating and burial to follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
