Opal Wright

Baby Opal Lanier Collar Wright, age 87, originally from Eclectic, AL but living in Birmingham passed away on October 21, 2012 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hal Collar and Richard Wright; parents and 6 siblings. She is survived by her daughter, Connie Collar Damico; 2 sons, Don Collar (Edna) and Jerry Collar; 4 stepdaughters; grandchildren, Ross J. Damico, Jr., Donald Collar (Kelly), Shawn Collar, and Amanda Day; great grandchildren, Austin Collar, Jordan Collar, and Logan Day; 2 sisters, Ruth Melton of Montgomery, AL and Joyce Peterson of Wetumpka, AL; brother, Luke Lanier (Gerry) of Opelika, AL; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and their children and grandchildren. Services will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 2:00pm with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East.
