Norma Lee Pearce, age 87, met her heavenly father on May 4, 2025. Norma was born and raised in Hamilton, Alabama. She spent the last forty-nine years in Birmingham, Alabama, raising her family, working, and enjoying her grandchildren. She was a long-time member of McElwain Baptist Church (now Hope Community Church). She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a strong, generous, hard-working woman devoted to her family, church, and Lord. She was a talented cook and seamstress who used her gifts to serve others and the Lord. Her beautiful smile and kind eyes were always ready to welcome family, friends, and strangers. With her faith, strength, and wisdom, she inspired and challenged others to be and do their best and to live every moment to the fullest. Her legacy of love lives on in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Norma is survived by her husband of 48 years, Edsel Pearce; daughter Beth Jones; son Matthew Jones (Rachael); daughter Lee Ann Latta; three granddaughters, Alex Yearty (Andrew), Maddie Latta, and Michaella Jones; two grandsons, Josh Jones and Zach Jones; Sister Brenda Elliott (Jimmy); brother Stanley Green (Nadine); brother-in-law Mack Harry; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Norma was preceded in death by her late husband of twenty years Theo Jones, parents Ather and Ethel Green, sister Carolyn Harry, and sister Geneva Dulaney.
