Nellie Bates

Nellie Evelyn Bates (Redmayne, Huff) 90, passed away at her home in Greencastle, Indiana on June 10, 2010. She was a long time resident of Birmingham, AL. she was a lover of all kinds of gardening, especially of flowers, and a very giving and generous person to people in need. Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, William L. Bates, the love of her life, her mother, two sisters, a brother, and two grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Ronnie Redmayne, Sally Redmayne Dismukes and Fred, Mary Redmayne Townsend and Dick, Sara Redmayne Schoffstall and Bob; also, (6) grandchildren,(15) great-grandchildren, and (5) great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010 from 5-7PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home. Service will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 2:00PM at Jefferson Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East. Jefferson Memorial Trussville directing.
