Nash Brownie Obenchain Jr., age 87, of Roebuck, passed away June 3, 2009. He was a resident of Roebuck for 50 years. He was a veteran in the US Army in World War II. He was a retired purchasing agent from Drummond Coal Company. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Helen Duffey Obenchain, granddaughter Renea Amick, and great-grandson Joshua Amick. Services will be Friday, June 5 at 2pm in the Chapel with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Trussville. Ken Maddox officiating. Visitation will be from 1pm until 2pm Friday. He is survived by his daughter Linda Smith (David), granddaughters Tara and Jessica Smith, great grandsons SSgt. Christopher Matthew Amick USMC (Lisa), Cody Smith, great great-grandsons Christopher and Brandon Nash, Nathan, Justin, and Gaven Amick, brother Bill Hendrix (Toni), sisters Sue Lawson (Jimmy), Linda Alice McGough (Jerry), Jeanette Burton (Ray, deceased), sister in law Carolyn Duffey (Charles, deceased).
