Elsie Dutton

Mrs. Elsie Meeks Dutton, 85, of Pinson passed away on September 24, 2018. Elsie enjoyed decorating her home, gardening, watching Auburn football, and was a member of Huffman Baptist Church. Most of all, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Dutton, brother, John David Meeks, and parents, Arnold and Ruby Meeks. She is survived by her son, Michael Dutton; daughters, Cheryl Allen (Rick) and Rita Bristol (George); grandchildren, Alison Pelletier (Vincent), Emily Michelle Dutton, and Harris Andrew Bristol (Madison); great-grandchildren, Sebastian Pelletier and Weston Bristol; brother, Charles Allen Meeks (Sandy); sister-in-law, Diane Meeks; caregiver, Patti Gay Allen; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 10:30am to 12:00pm at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville. The funeral service will begin at 12:00pm from the funeral home chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Crest Cemetery with Reverend Gary Schultz officiating.
